About Stef Johnson Design

Stef Johnson Design is a full service interior design studio based in North Carolina providing a classic approach to easy luxury in residential and commercial projects.

Owner, Stef Johnson, started her career in Charlotte working for a residential developer selecting a palette of interior and exterior finishes for buyers as well as designing model homes.

As the next step in her career path, Stef was hired to be on site to manage a rehabilitation of a historic bank in uptown Charlotte into high end condos. She assisted homeowners in the selection of their luxury finishes, designed gourmet kitchens and spa style bathrooms, as well as provided construction administration and installation services. This naturally led to assisting clients with interior design, uniquely customizing each home with an attention to detail, patience and creativity.

For over a decade, the SJD team has offered a unique combination of design and construction knowledge. They pride themselves on prioritizing clients’ personal taste and taking a cost-effective approach to every job. Stef believes that each home should reflect her client’s unique personality highlighting objects they love.
